Any time I am welcomed into the newborn bubble, I jump at the chance! Nila and I were in conversations about doing a maternity shoot, but as luck would have it, their baby arrived before I was free to meet up. And what a joy it was to meet sweet Terra Juliana!! They had a lovely field across the street from their house, so trying to keep things simple, we opted for a sunset shoot over there. I encouraged her husband, James, and their adorable daughter, Marli, to join us, and they brought their lovable lab Woodrow too, which definitely livened up the mood!

I am forever grateful for the people I meet and the sweet moments we share when documenting milestones, both big and small. I left this shoot with a fully-grounded sense of well being. Everything felt right in the world. Being around babies and sweet families will do that to us. And being sprinkled with a bit of that newborn fairy dust sure doesn’t hurt either. ✨
