Rylee + Garret’s story began one July 4th morning, on the quiet shores of my favorite cove at Payette Lake in McCall, Idaho. I had the honor of documenting their picturesque proposal and it was an absolutely magical time; the feeling was undeniably special and something we all felt.

Immediately afterwards, Rylee captured a pretty cool moment with her phone - a mama moose and her baby waded through the water nearby. Watch to the end to see her pan back to her beautiful engagement ring!

The following year, that same sense of magic and connection carried on into their stunning wedding weekend at Whitetail Club, which is associated with Shore Lodge. Whitetail is a private mountain club offering stellar views of the both the lake and sweeping golf fairways - the best of both worlds! It is truly a setting designed for a special celebration at its most elevated sense. From the first “yes” to their final sparkler exit, every detail reflected a thoughtful approach to a luxury wedding, and each moment felt both intentional and unforgettable.

Rylee’s dad’s good buddy was the officiant, and appropriately enough, he arrived by boat plane. The day before their wedding, he took the wedding party on a flight around Payette Lake!

On their wedding day, Rylee got ready with all her ladies at the Whitetail guest house on the lake. She kicked things off with a first look with her Dad - such a touching moment! After Garret got ready at Shore Lodge, he too headed over with his groomsmen for his first look with Rylee, but his buddies had other plans. Rylee’s prankster brother was actually Garret’s first look and it was a hysterical moment! He absolutely nailed it.

Next it was Rylee’s turn with Garret, and as you can imagine, it was super sweet and heartfelt between both of them…! She then had a first look with his groomsmen and a fun Smirnoff moment!! The absolute best!

Their wedding day unfolded beautifully. The time with their family and friends was spent intentionally, and celebratory. It was super fun to be a part of their perfect love story at Whitetail Club in McCall, ID.
